EDIT:
1. I know I twisted her pose too much, and her right leg looks like it's broken. :"D But this is not a pose tutorial, so focus on the coloring and other things, ok? ^^/

2. I made a little mistake while typing: On the last picture before Step3, I said 'put them all in one layer'. It should be 'put them all in one folder' there.

And thank you all for the support. ^^/

Warning: Super duper giant file. OTL

As I was asked by some people to make some kind of tutorials. So this is one way of coloring I can show you.

I don't want to make too many deviations at a time so, please be patient with this long ass 'Step by step'.OTL

And here is the bigger finished version of the picture:

I hope it helps somehow. ;n;a

I will try working on some other styles' step by step, if there are requests in the future. /o/

That is pretty awesome :D
I have a couple of questions though, if that's okay.
Do your linarts usually take a long time?
Also, Is this how you always do things, or do you ever use the vecor-tools in SAI for the linearts?

Your pictures always look very nice and neat, so I just felt I had to ask ^^

Hi there, thank you and, the time depends on the detail levels. ^^;a If it's very detailed it can take like forever for me to finish linearting.
And yes, I use vector tool too, when I need precise lines, like curves or straight lines.

I hope these helps. <3

This is going to help me so much to master lines then on to conquer colours :stare:

Thank you for going to the effort of creating this :worship:

just a question, I do not understand the make a new layer and do some highlights ;_; do you do them with white with brush or...? and I did my lineart with black lines, and when I put it in multiply it didn't change the color I don't know If I did something wrong ;_; I did no have the same gorgeous result as you T_T

I think I explained it clearly about the highlight parts (Both for the other parts' and for the eyes), which tools, which colors and which type of layers to use.
About the lines, that's why you have to recolor your lines with other colors. Multiply mode kinda drops the color of one layer down to the layers underneath. So it's normal that black + anyother color = black. C:

Both steps you asked about have been explained very clearly right in the tutorial. I think you just need to read everything more carefully. :)
Good luck! <3
